Have you ever seen the blue of the sky?

The paleness of your lips seconds after waking up?
The way their eyes glisten as they smile at you?
It is all fake.
It is all in your mind, none of it exists.
The sky is not blue,
it is purple, pink, orange and red
but it is not only blue.
Your lips are not only pale,
they are deprived of blood,
they miss that warm feeling of blood circulating
Their eyes don't just glisten, they shine,
They show so much happiness, and love
But the thing is, you don't see any of it
You don't see how the colors are streaked across the sky,
showing you about the end of the long day,
or the start of a new one
You do not see how the paleness of your lips represents
better yet,
expresses,
how much work you put into your life,
that sometimes you deserve a break from it all.
You don't see how much they care about you,
how much they enjoy those small and cheesy jokes,
yes, those ones, those meaningless but funny jokes,
those eyes show how much they enjoy you,
but you don't see it
You don't see any of it
You don't see it because you are so very focused,
focused on only the small things,
when sometimes, 
you need to see everything
you need to so you can feel it, you can live it.
So, next time you look at the sky,
find those vivid colors,
next time you see those pale lips,
find the tiredness of hard work in them,
next time you see their eyes glisten,
really look, and find out why they love you,
because it is there,
you just don't see it
