He

He was wonderful
much like my favorite blanket

he kept me warm when it was cold,
I didn't always need him but I would lay him on me
like the top of a sweet pie
He engulfed me in his arms after a long day
yes,
his wonderful caring arms, those they were,
not so much him
He was my get away
I went to him when I begged for a break from reality.
and his arms welcomed me like a close family member
I didn't truly know him,
but I saw him and I loved him and he was wonderful
But then I saw her,
she was broken and torn down
she had no one she didn't even have herself,
but she thought she had him, and she just thought
it was the best thing in the world
but she was broken and although she did not have anyone
she had him
but he didn't have her, he didn't love her or want her.
he was only there to comfort her because he was not that heartless
and he broke her when he left
he left her because she was too damaged, she had no hope, no faith, no love, no purpose.
He broke her down when she couldn't find him,
When he left
He broke her,
he broke me.
